I was itching to blog about this. Seriously, Hahaha! Anyway, I really can’t remember the time when I started with Visual Kei bands. I normally view PVs of The Gazette and SID but I never got deeply into them until I saw and heard about Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet-
Versailles or Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet- in the US is a Visual Kei/metal band which was formed by Kamijo and Hizaki last Autumn of 2006. The sound of the band concentrates on the concept of youshikibi (absolute beauty of form) and the extremes of aestheticism.
After their successful release of their latest single “Philia” last March 16, 2011, an announcement was made revealing the release of their New Album, “Holy Grail” on June 15, 2011. The announcement was posted last April 22, 2011. (Yes, I am months behind. Such a sad excuse for a Fan aint I? LoL.)
After catching up on the updates about the band a friend of mine shared their latest PV of their new song Masquerade which I also found at TokyoHive.
Their style never ceases to amaze me.
Another announcement was made recently that they shall be having a world tour this fall. Versailles will tour Asia on September, Europe on October and the final Leg at South America on November. There are no specific dates yet but hopefully a detailed announcement shall be posted soon.
